Emily Ratajkowski is being sued over an Instagram photo for $150,000 (approximately £117,000).
The 28-year-old model shared an image of herself that was taken by photographer Robert O’Neil. He is suing Ratajkowski, as she didn’t reportedly get permission or consent from him to post it.
O’Neil is suing for damages up to $150,000 and is also requesting that any profits she gained from his work be reimbursed to him.
According to the suit, the model shared the candid photo and captioned it “Mood Forever” on her Instagram story, which has now expired. In the photograph she was holding a large bouquet of flowers that covered her face.
Ratajkowski isn’t the only model to be sued by O’Neil; he filed a similar case against Gigi Hadid last month over an image she posted of her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik.
The court documents read at the time: “This action arises out of Defendant’s unauthorised reproduction and public display of a copyrighted photograph of English singer and songwriter Zayn Malik, owned and registered by O’Neil, a New York-based professional photographer.”
