Paige Spiranac has accused NBC analyst Brandel Chamblee of having ‘hatred’ for Bryson DeChambeau in the aftermath of his US Open victory.
DeChambeau recorded the second Major win of his career in North Carolina on Sunday, taking advantage of a brutal Rory McIlroy implosion to top the leaderboard at Pinehurst.
Golf influencer Spiranac took issue with Chamblee referring to DeChambeau as ‘fortunate’ as he emerged victorious on Sunday.
‘Brandel saying ‘good fortune’ is why Bryson won the US Open is wild. Doesn’t even try to hide his hatred for him. Smh (Shakes myhead),’ Spiranac wrote on X on Sunday night, just moments after DeChambeau had made victory official.
While DeChambeau needed McIlroy to let him off the hook – he took advantage in scintillating style, most notably with a sublime shout out the bunker on 18 to ultimately hand him tournament glory.
