Since the dawn of Instagram, our feeds have been filled with impeccably dressed individuals donning pieces that are sometimes unattainable to those less notable people thumbing past them. So naturally, we channel a great deal of energy into replicating said thumb-stopping looks, trying to get our hands on the same covetable items with varying degrees of success. But of course, when we start to gain on the stylish figures that infiltrate our small screens, they go one step further to don items we’ll likely never come across in our lifetimes.

Being one of Instagram’s foremost fashion figures—and, as it turns out, a solid source of interior inspiration on the platform—Kylie Jenner is naturally a purveyor of niche finds, the social media mogul employing its feed to spearhead the revival of vintage designer pieces we never thought would ever see the light of day following their first wear, but we’d now gladly wear again courtesy of Jenner’s expert reframing.

Case in point: the vintage Versace halterneck Jenner plucked straight off its spring/summer 2005 runway. Criss-crossing across her upper body, and fastening with a large silver, Medusa-emblazoned buckle, her wear of the paisley print top reassured us of the fact that 2000s fashion is back and here to stay, at least until another era’s sartorial hallmarks make their return. This wasn’t the first time Jenner looked to the Italian house’s archives to dress, the Kylie Cosmetics founder also wore a similarly boldly coloured bodysuit and legging set from Versace’s spring/summer 1991 collection not too long ago.

Jenner’s fondness for Versace aside, she’s shown loyalty to a number of other labels, such as Christian Dior, Gucci and Jean Paul Gaultier, but there’s no denying the gravitational pull she seems to have to Chanel pieces of eras passed. Sending us searching for a powder blue ‘CC’-adorned bikini following her wear of the set in 2019, Jenner’s revival of some of the maison’s key historical pieces—a white ski suit with fur trimmings, a Clear Minaudière bag, a bubblegum pink velour, logo-embellished mini button down dress… we could go on—has seen us setting us off on our own Chanel-specific searches to little, or no, avail.

But don’t get down on your fashion scouting abilities—Jenner herself is likely not trawling through the virtual pages of Vestiaire Collective, The Real Real or even Depop into the early hours to source these pieces.
