As Shakira sings in one of her most iconic songs, Hips Don’t Lie, she doesn’t lie about her impeccable taste in fashion either, as she always makes a slam dunk in whatever she wears.
Shakira in a sheer outfit
Known for her penchant for wearing sheer outfits in public, Shakira also jumped on the bandwagon while accepting the Special International Award with Apple Music at the 2022 Ivor Novello Awards in London.
Instead of wearing a traditional dress, she opted for a two-piece outfit that turned heads on the red carpet. Shakira’s layered ensemble featured a black mini skirt that she paired with a matching lace bra. To top it all off, the singer added a sheer long-sleeved top (check out the images at the bottom of the article).
Underneath her outfit, Shakira wore a pair of black platform combat boots. She added a chain necklace as her only adornment and styled her blonde hair in her signature waves.
The Colombian singer finished the look with simple eye makeup, pink blush, and a soft pink lipstick. When Shakira posted footage of the night on social media, it didn’t take long for people to start commenting. Unsurprisingly, they were all praise: “Such grace, elegance, and beauty ❤️🔥😍👏,” one person captioned the Instagram video. “MY QUEEN,” another said, while a third person commented, “Waka Waka wow.”
Shakira certainly knows how to do a red carpet.
