The old-fashioned style rule says you’re not supposed to wear white after Labor Day. So we can’t blame Emily Ratajkowski for trying to fit in as many last-minute looks in the color as she can before then.
In a new Instagram Story, the model and author showed off her latest look: a silky party dress in white from L.A.-based brand Staud. The design perfectly fused black-tie elegance and going-out comfortability, and it seemed Ratajkowski was putting it to good use, as she noted that she’d worn the look to the White Party (a star-studded event in the Hamptons where the dress code, of course, mandates wearing all white).
Although EmRata gave us only a view from the back, we could see the dress featured a backless detail with a cowl-like scoop of material and a strap connecting the piece across her shoulder blades. The design also featured billowing cape sleeves and a slit up the side of the skirt, and while we couldn’t tell what was going on in the front, it appears the dress was fairly form-fitting, at least along the bottom half.
