Emily Ratajkowski was spotted walking her dog Colombo in New York on Friday.
For her romp in the city, Ratajkowski wore a pair of black ballet-esque flats. The style featured a strappy crisscrossing construction, similar to the dancerly ballet flat silhouette, along with mesh and cloth uppers.
Additionally, the style included contrasting white stitching and rubber soles that offered the model a sturdy and non-slip base. The silhouette of the runway regular’s shoes can be likened to a dance or tap shoe from the likes of Capezio or Bloch.
Ballet flats of all kinds are becoming exceedingly popular as of late. The style has enjoyed a renaissance, becoming the it-girl shoe in a flash for its diverse silhouette and immense comfort.
The girly and playful style can be purchased from a wide range of brands including Prada, Circus NY, Coach, Miu Miu, Maison Margiela, Free People and Zara, just to name a few. Not just for dancers, ballet flats have received a major upgrade, coming in a myriad of colors, textural and prints.
