Axel Arigato has been on our fashion radar for a while now, pretty much since its launch in 2014. Gaining notoriety among the style set for its chunky fashion trainers, the Swedish brand – named after the Japanese pursuit of perfection in the smallest of details – creates collections possessing a sleek minimalism that rivals that of Veja, but with edgier, head-turning design details. The retro-inspired silhouettes feel so of-the-moment without losing their timeless appeal.
And yet, it’s not a pair of Axel Arigato trainers we’re currently lusting after. Rather, top of our Axel Arigato wishlist is the label’s Delta Sandal. A classic, traditional flip flop style with a simple toe thong, elevated with a rounded platform base and puffy straps. It gives the squishy illusion the shoes have been inflated with air.
The fact it was Emily Ratajkowski modelling these shoes only increases our desire to make them ours.
