Swifties in Liverpool came out in full force to support their pop icon Taylor Swift at her recent stop on her Eras Tour.

Taylor had an incredible, costume-filled performance in Edinburgh, Scotland last weekend as she gave the audience a top-tier show. For The Tortured Poets Department set, Taylor rocked a pair of black gloves for the first time since incorporating the new songs into The Eras Tour, which came after she suffered an awkward blunder that led to the outfit alteration.

The hitmaker then left fans wondering if there was a hidden meaning last night when she stepped out in the iconic TTPD Vivienne Westwood frock which was teamed with white gloves instead of black while on stage in Liverpool. The Grammy-winning singer has only worn gloves with this outfit on two occasions after her hands got cramp in Scotland, so this was a big moment for some fans who pick up on every detail that gets changed.

Some fans were theorising over whether the white gloves could mean an announcement for her album The Tortured Poets Department, like a new music video. While others felt she wore them for more practical reasons. On X, formerly known as Twitter, Swifties speculated that she wore the specific gloves to keep her hands toasty.

“Taylor is entering the TTPD era! Tonight with little white gloves to keep her hands warm #LiverpoolTStheErasTour,” one person wrote on the social media platform.

A second person wrote, “Oh my god it must really be freezing because @taylorswift13 is wearing gloves !!! Someone protect her fingers! @taylornation13 we need heaters for mother!”

Taylor has yet to reveal why she wore gloves, more specifically why she wore white ones. There is a possibility that her white gloves might be a nod to her album The Manuscript. The Manuscript is one of TTPD’s variations. The Bolter, The Albatross, The Black Dog, along with The Manuscript, make up Taylor’s TTPD variant editions. Each variant edition is named after a bonus track it will have.
