Just before the 124th U.S. Open, Paige Spiranac shared her prediction for the major championship. And guess what? She got it right! Bryson DeChambeau was one of her top picks and fast-forward to Sunday, the LIV golfer won his second major title with a four-foot putt.
He defeated Rory McIlroy by just one stroke and hence, he called it “the shot of my life”. But some people were not elated about his win.
As soon as the golfer won the championship at Pinehurst No. 2, Brandel Chamblee, a Golf Channel analyst, and commentator, went ahead to dub the same as “good fortune.”
Spiranac, however, didn’t appear too enthusiastic about this hatred, as she took to her social media to point out the same. She shared a tweet on X saying, “Brandel saying “good fortune” is why Bryson won the US Open is wild. Doesn’t even try to hide his hatred for him. Smh.”
