There are 7 days left until the release of Shakira’s new single, after several years of waiting for a complete album, but to make the wait shorter, the Colombian presented a preview of her first single, titled “Tiempo sin verte”, the which he presented through his Instagram account.
The piece returns to the pop rhythms that she has used throughout most of her career, with romantic lyrics, which immediately sparked speculation about a possible dedication by her ex-partner Gerard Piqué, with whom she had a painful separation.
“I haven’t seen you in a while, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about you,” the song says. While the description of the video indicates that the singer chose the rhythm as: “A sound that I feel is very mine.”
The single will be released on March 22, one day before the official release of the full album, according to the Spotify counter, where the official release will be made.
‘Tiempo sin verte’ will be the third song on Shakira’s new album titled ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’, which refers to her collaboration with Bizarrap in session #53, which was one of the hits of 2023, in direct reference to Shakira’s breakup with Piqué.
Shakira’s new album will consist of 17 songs including some of the recent hits that the Colombian released in 2023, in collaboration with other Latin music figures such as: ‘Te felicito’, with Rauw Alejandro, ‘Monotonía’, with Ozuna, ‘TQT’ with Karol G, or ‘El Jefe’, with Fuerza Regida.
In addition, it includes 10 other unreleased songs that include more collaborations, such as with Cardi B, another song with Bizarrap that will be called ‘La Fuerte’, ‘Cohete’, another collaboration with Rauw Alejandro.
In addition, a remix of Bizarrap Sessions #53, with DJ Tiesto and ‘Entre Paréntesis’, a song where Shakira will collaborate with Grupo Frontera, will also be included.
