The second official trailer for the upcoming live-action Barbie movie was released on Thursday – revealing how the titular doll and her counterpart Ken are set to get in a whole heap of trouble on the big screen.
In the latest clip, Margot Robbie’s Barbie is tasked with venturing into ‘the real world’ in an effort to restore her former state of happiness.
The Mattel figurine, who was originally intended to be portrayed by Gal Gadot, then finds herself in trouble with the law and becomes the target of a hunt led by the CEO of a toy company (played by Will Ferrell.)
The trailer began with Barbie taking off her high-heeled shoes and effortlessly floating downward from the roof of her hot pink house to her similarly colored car.
When Ken, portrayed by Ryan Gosling, asks if he can visit her later, she comments that the only thing she had planned for the evening was ‘a giant blowout party with all the Barbies and planned choreography and a bespoke song.’
